A crescent island seen from the air at golden hour, with thatched villas on a boardwalk over a turquoise lagoon

See the whole island before you book it

Twenty-five villas on one private island. Drag to turn it, right-drag to move around, then pick a roof to look inside.

One small island, and no cars on it

Ardentia takes its name from the old sailors' word for water that lights up when you touch it. On dark nights it does that here, along the beach and behind the boats.

Everything is reached on foot or by water. The map above is the island as it really lies, so what you see from your villa is what you saw before you booked.

The island keeps its own hours

Pick a moment and the map jumps to that time of day, in that spot.

  1. Into the creek by kayak

The mangroves at first light, with a guide and the herons.

  2. Down to the reef

Ten minutes by boat. Beginners are in the water on the first morning.

  3. Into the trees

Three spa huts in the forest, out of the afternoon heat.

  4. Sunset from the bar

Everyone drifts to the Main House. The sun goes down behind the point.

  5. Wade in, and the water lights up

On moonless nights the shallows glow blue around your feet.

The last part of the trip is the good part

Our seaplane meets international flights and lands on the lagoon beside the arrivals jetty, twenty-five minutes later. If you prefer the sea, the boat takes about two hours and we'll put lunch on it.
